When I started putting A Legacy of Recipes from Lely’s Kitchen together, I wanted it to be about more than recipes. I wanted to preserve a little piece of our family history, share the food and memories I grew up with, and hopefully do some good along the way.

Today I’m incredibly proud that this little book has enabled me to donate £1,000 to the Gibraltar Cardiac Association.

This donation isn’t really just from me. It’s from every single person who bought a copy, shared a post, recommended the book to someone else, or supported me from the beginning. You helped make this possible.

Lely could never have imagined that the recipes she cooked for her family would one day become a book, much less that they would help raise money for such an important local cause. I think she would have been very proud of that.

Thank you to the Gibraltar Cardiac Association for everything you do for our community, and thank you to every one of you who has been part of this journey.
